Nicky’s garden

Meet Nicky, a woman whose creativity knows no bounds and whose heart belongs to her beautiful garden (and Tom, her partner, of course). Nestled in the heart of Brunswick West in Melbourne, Nicky’s garden is a vibrant tapestry of colours, scents, and textures, a true reflection of her artistic soul.

For Nicky, the garden is more than just a collection of plants; it's her sanctuary, her canvas, and her muse. Her backyard is a magical haven bursting with vibrant colors and delightful scents, filled with rainbow chards, pansies, sweet peas, poppies, herbs, bees and many more beautiful species.

Neighbours and friends often marvel at her garden, drawn to its beauty and tranquility. They admire her creativity, her passion, and her ability to turn a simple patch of earth into a breathtaking masterpiece.

Many find themselves inspired to start their own gardens, eager to capture a bit of Nicky’s magic.

Nicky is a photographer and a documentary filmmaker but also a versatile artist with her fingers in many creative projects. She loves making and crafting; she paints, draws, creates lino prints, and works with leather. If there's an art form out there, chances are Nicky has tried it and mastered it.

She even hosts a weekly art club at her house, evenings where friends gather to create art, driven more by the joy of being together than by the final results.

But for Nicky, the true joy lies in the peaceful moments spent in her garden, in the connection she feels with the earth and the plants she so dearly loves.

Currently, Nicky has left her beautiful home to travel with Tom. After a trip to Thailand where she worked on their documentary, she's now back in London, working in the art department on an exciting new tv series.

While her plans are uncertain, with hopes of getting their documentary into film festivals, one thing is clear : life is good and always on the go for Nicky.

The only thing I know for sure is that with the opportunity of another garden, she will create a beautiful haven like the one in Brunswick. Perhaps my next painting project will be Nicky’s overseas garden...

Stay tuned.
